East Norriton’s history traces back to 1730 when the Township of Norriton was established by the court. At the time, this township encompassed present-day West Norriton, East Norriton, and Norristown Borough. In 1812, the Borough of Norristown was established, and the remaining Township of Norriton divided once again into West Norriton and East Norriton.
East Norriton is home to the brand new and state-of-the-art Einstein Medical Center of Montgomery County! This beautiful hospital was a welcome addition to the neighborhood and offered an abundance of jobs for community members.
East Norriton Township is served by Norristown School District. There are many local private schools in the area, too!

Things To Do in East Norriton
East Norriton is notable for being less than a ten-minute drive from “just about everything!” Whether you’re trying to get to the King of Prussia Mall, Target, the turnpike, Starbucks, or one of the area’s many parks, it’s just a couple minute drive!
Our favorite spots for a night out include Guppy’s Good Times, Capone’s, and Pho Thai Nam (be sure to try their shrimp pho!). If you’re up for a game, stop by the Facenda Whitaker bowling alley in the heart of East Norriton.
East Norriton is also home to the world-famous “Corropolese Bakery.” And if you’ve ever tried their tomato pie, you know exactly why! In addition to their delicious tomato pie, they have a tasty bakery.
