Easttown Township

Nestled in beautiful Chester County along Philadelphia’s prestigious Main Line, Easttown Township is an affluent area with stately historic homes, horse farms, rolling hills and quiet communities. Easttown encompasses the towns of Devon and Berwyn, and is served by the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District.

Easttown Township traces its history to the Welsh Tract, a plot of land that was promised to Welsh Quakers by William Penn.

The township is home to two buildings that are located on the National Register of Historic Places: Waynesborough (the home of Revolutionary War leader Anthony Wayne) and Roughwood.

Easttown Township is served by the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District. The award-winning district has routinely been ranked among the top ten in the state. Additionally, the township is located just minutes from esteemed universities and colleges including Villanova, Haverford, Rosemont, and Swarthmore.

The area has become internationally recognized for the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, the country’s largest and oldest outdoor multi-breed horse show!

Lancaster Avenue (Rt 30) winds along the Main Line suburbs and through Easttown Township. The popular avenue is home to a variety of eateries, fitness studios, theaters, shops, and businesses. 30 Main and The Berwyn Tavern are two of our favorites.

Easttown Township is located just minutes from King of Prussia, Wayne and Ardmore! The nation’s second-largest mall is just ten minutes away, and the downtown walkable areas of Wayne and Ardmore are also conveniently located. We especially love stopping by the Ardmore Farmer’s Market on weekend mornings for fresh bread, flowers, and cheese.

Homes in Easttown Township are priced above average for Chester County. The majority of homes within the township are single-family homes over $800,000 and located in quiet, private neighborhoods. There tends to be a blend of newer, luxury estates and charming, historic manor homes. A handful of custom new construction homes are typically available for sale in the township, too!

If you’re looking for something a little bit smaller and more affordable within the township, you’ll love the beautiful townhome communities. Tucked back in pretty, tree-lined neighborhoods, most of the townhomes in the township are priced between $300,000 and $450,000 and offer a lower-maintenance lifestyle. There are also typically a handful of smaller, single-family homes that may need a little TLC for sale within the district under $300,000.
