Hatfield Township

Did you know that Hatfield was named one of the best places to live in suburban Philadelphia? The friendly township offers the perfect blend between convenience and serenity! Plus, Hatfield Township offers relatively affordable housing in the award-winning North Penn School District. The township is home to approximately 17,000 residents across 10 square miles.

The borough became officially incorporated in 1898, after a group of residents installed streetlights in a portion of what was then considered Hatfield Township. At a town meeting, these residents decided to separate from the larger Hatfield Township and form a borough.

Hatfield Township is governed separately from the borough of the same name. Hatfield Township is located adjacent to the borough in north-central Montgomery County, and both areas use the “Hatfield” mailing address.

The township is overseen by five elected supervisors by ward.

Hatfield Township is served by the award-winning North Penn School District. A popular Catholic school, St. Maria Goretti, is also located within Hatfield Township.

The Hatfield Community Park and Pool is home to plenty of basketball courts, a popular family swimming pool, and plenty of picnic areas. The Hatfield Aquatic Center is also located within the township, as well as Twin Woods Golf Course.

Popular restaurants in the Hatfield area include Via Marconi’s Pizza Pub, Casey’s Saloon and Eatery, and Vinny’s Pizzarama. Hatfield is also located just minutes from the popular Lansdale Borough, as well as Montgomeryville.

Homes for sale in Hatfield Township are right around the Montgomery County average. The majority of homes for sale in the township are single-family homes between $250,000 and $450,000.

The area also offers an abundance of new construction, particularly larger single-family homes. Many of these new townhomes offer luxury, upgraded amenities and are available in the $400,000-$600,000 range. Plus, many of the homes are walkable to all that the town has to offer, including restaurants, shops, and grocery stores.

If you’re looking for something more affordable, consider a smaller townhome or one of Hatfield Township’s “diamonds in the rough”. It’s not uncommon to find a budget-friendly single-family home in need of a little TLC. Many of these homes are located on approximately ½ acre lots and in great neighborhoods!
