Montgomery Township Quick Facts
The Montgomery Township Historical Society, founded in 1988, is committed to documenting and preserving the history of the municipality. The committee members host events that are open to the public, and are intended to educate and involve local residents.

The Knapp Farm, a historic farmhouse at the corner of Dekalb Pike and Knapp Road, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The farmhouse is believed by many local residents to be haunted!

Montgomery Township is served by North Penn School District.

The township includes all or parts of the villages of Montgomeryville, Colmar, Montgomery Square and Fortuna. Montgomery Township uses the mailing addresses of North Wales and Lansdale.
What To Do In Montgomery Township
Montgomery Township just may be the biggest retailer hub of the entire county! The township is home to the Montgomery Mall, as well as large retailers such as Best Buy, Target, and Wegman’s in Montgomeryville.

The township also features movie theaters, award-winning restaurants (we especially love Harvest Seasonal Grille & Wine Bar, and Noboru Sushi).

For a more relaxing day, be sure to visit one of Montgomery Township’s many parks, including the Applewood Park, Windlestrae Park, or the Bark Park for dogs. Many of the township’s parks feature walking trails, children’s playgrounds, community gardens and gazebos.
