New Hope Borough

Charming, walkable, and trendy! New Hope is nestled along the scenic Delaware River in eastern Bucks County and offers some of the finest eateries, boutiques, and entertainment options in the region. Did you know that New Hope-Solebury High School was recently ranked #1 in Pennsylvania? It’s true! The outstanding district has a reputation for academic, athletic, and artistic excellence.

New Hope is situated along the main highway that historically connected Philadelphia and New York City, Old York Road. The borough was previously known as “Coryell’s Ferry,” after the owner of the ferry business that assisted travelers over the Delaware River. This route is largely obsolete today.

New Hope is located a short driving distance from Solebury, Washington Crossing, and Stockton NJ.

Art and theater lovers, rejoice! New Hope is home to some of the region’s finest art galleries, unique antique stores, and studios. The New Hope Art League is well-loved by locals, for their events and educational opportunities.

Pennsylvania’s state theater, the Bucks County Playhouse, is located in the heart of New Hope. The theater is also a popular place for Broadway Shows to be tested and tweaked before premiering in New York. New Hope is also home to the first youth-run restaurant in the country, Café Blue Moose! The ecletic restaurant offers an incredible menu and an inspiring story. Other fine restaurants in the borough include Karla’s Restaurant, and Marsha Brown’s. New Hope also offers extensive nightlife opportunities.

The majority of homes for sale in New Hope are priced well above the Bucks County average. The most popular homes for sale are single-family homes and luxury carriage homes above $800,000. In fact, it’s not uncommon to find homes for sale above $2 million!
