Calling all commuters! Walkable to SEPTA and located near many major highways and employers, North Wales Borough is a convenient, affordable municipality served by North Penn School District. The tiny borough spans just 0.6 square miles and is home to approximately 3200 residents.
North Wales Borough Quick Facts
North Wales traces its modern history to the early 1700s when it was settled by Welsh immigrants who named it after their homeland.

Many homes in North Wales are older, and were built during the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. At the time, the borough was a popular spot for “country homes” for wealthy families living in the city. In fact, many of these homes are still standing today!

When the North Wales Historic Preservation District was established in 2000, it became the first Historic District in the North Penn area. It currently serves to protect the beautiful architecture and historic homes in the area.

While North Wales Borough’s limits are tiny, a number of surrounding townships use North Wales mailing address.
What to Do in North Wales Borough
North Wales Borough has a quaint, walkable downtown area featuring the popular Tex Mex Connection restaurants, as well as Alice’s Bakery. Plus, if you like to run, be sure to stop by the North Wales Running Company – they also offer run meet-ups a few nights per week! A number of parks and open spaces are also located within North Wales.

While not located technically in the borough, the Montgomery Mall is less than five minutes away. The popular shopping spot offers a Banana Republic, Macy’s, Ann Taylor, and Wegman’s. Lansdale Borough is also just five minutes away with great restaurants and bars.
Real Estate in North Wales Borough
Homes in North Wales tend to be relatively affordable, although many are priced a bit below the Montgomery County average. Most homes in the borough are priced under $300,000, and there tends to be a mix of single-family homes and townhomes.

While the single-family homes tend to be relatively modest and offer small backyards, many are move-in ready – in fact, you’re likely to find a few newly renovated homes, as the area is popular with investors. If you’re looking for something a bit more affordable, be sure to check out the older townhomes in the area. Some are available for under $200,000!
