Towamencin Township Quick Facts
Towamencin derives its name from the Native American word for “Poplar tree.” The Native Americans who inhabited Towamencin were of the Lenni Lenape tribe, and established friendly relations with early settlers.

Towamencin is home to approximately 18,000 residents over 9.7 square miles.

The township is served by North Penn School District. There are also a number of private schools located within the township, including Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and Calvary Baptist School.

The township uses the mailing addresses of Lansdale and Harleysville.
What To Do In Towamencin Township
While Towamencin is largely residential in nature, there are an abundance of delicious eateries and things to do! In fact, a few of our favorite local restaurants are located in Towamencin, including Osaka sushi and Margarita’s Mexican Grill.

Freddy Hill Farms and Family Fun Center is also located within Towamencin! Bring the whole family along, as Freddy Hill offers a mini golf course, batting cages, a driving range, and a dairy store – with some of the best ice cream in the area! Freddy Hill also has a farm zoo.

Towamencin hosts numerous events, including free summer concerts at Fischer’s Park! Fischer’s Park is the township’s largest, with 77 acres and over 3 miles of nature trails.
