Upper Frederick Township is situated amongst the peaceful countryside in the western section of Montgomery County! Notable for its mature woodlands, scenic parks, and beautiful backyards, Upper Frederick Township is a popular choice for outdoor-loving families interested in getting away from the bustle of city life. The semi-rural township spans 10.1 square miles and is home to approximately 3500 people.

Upper Frederick enjoys a rich history, and a number of local buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In fact, the Henry Antes House is even listed as a National Historic Landmark! The home, built in 1736, served as George Washington’s headquarters during the Revolutionary War during the Philadelphia Campaign. The home is located on Colonial Road and now owned by the Goschenhoppen Historians.

Upper Frederick Township is served by the Boyertown Area School District and most homes use the mailing address of Perkiomenville, Green Lane, or Schwenksville.

The township encompasses part of Green Lane Park, which offers plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities including fishing and kayaking, as well as over 25 miles of trails!

While Upper Frederick Township is largely residential (no big box stores here!), residents love the convenience of nearby Collegeville, Skippack, Harleysville and Pottstown. Tons of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores are located just minutes from peaceful Upper Frederick Township.

Homes in Upper Frederick Township tend to vary significantly in price, although many are priced around the Montgomery County average. Many established, older single-family homes in Upper Frederick tend to be priced in the $200,000 range, although larger historic farmhomes may become available that are valued far higher! Popular home styles include ranch homes, Cape Cods, and Colonials.

Due to urban sprawl, Upper Frederick Township also has plenty of newer homes and brand new construction available for sale. Generally, these homes tend to be larger luxury homes priced over $400,000.
